Article 50 Compliance

Article 50 Compliance refers to the legal obligation to meet the transparency requirements stipulated in Article 50 of the EU AI Act. These requirements mandate disclosure when an AI system interacts with users, generates synthetic media, or detects emotions, aiming to prevent misinformation and manipulation.

Automation

Botsitting

Botsitting describes the hidden human work required to supervise AI systems — filling in missing context, checking outputs, debugging mistakes, rewriting prompts and dealing with hallucinations. 2026 studies show knowledge workers spend nearly a full working day per week on botsitting.

ChatGPT Ads

ChatGPT Ads refer to an advertising format implemented by OpenAI and integrated into the conversation flow of the ChatGPT interface. These ads appear context-sensitively in relation to user queries, providing supplementary information or product offers. They do not alter the AI's response generation but represent an additional layer of information.

Chief Agent Officer

The Chief Agent Officer (CAO) is a C-level role that emerged in 2026 and holds strategic, operational and governance responsibility for company-wide use of AI agents. The CAO orchestrates marketing, sales, service and ops agents and defines their KPIs.

Content Decay Rate (AI Search)

The Content Decay Rate (AI Search) defines the percentage of digital content that is cited as a source only once in AI-generated search results but does not reappear in subsequent, topically relevant queries. This metric measures the short-term relevance and persistence of webpages within the context of AI search.

Custom Audience Threshold

The Custom Audience Threshold refers to the defined minimum size of 25,000 matched users that a first-party audience must meet to be addressable and activated via the ChatGPT Ads advertising platform. This requirement ensures a statistically significant audience size.

Custom Small Language Model

A Custom Small Language Model (CSLM) is a language model with a deliberately more compact architecture and parameter count (typically 1 to 8 billion) compared to large LLMs. It is specifically trained or fine-tuned using proprietary corporate or segment data to efficiently and precisely handle specialized tasks and reproduce specific linguistic nuances.

Generative AI Performance Report

The Generative AI Performance Report is a specialized reporting feature within Google Search Console. It provides webmasters and SEO professionals with insights into the performance of their web content when it appears within generative AI results, such as AI Overviews or Google Search's AI Mode. This enables a differentiated analysis of traffic and visibility within the evolving search landscape.

Language Targeting Deprecation

Language Targeting Deprecation is the planned discontinuation of the ability to manually select target languages within Google Search campaigns. From August 2026, Google will instead employ machine learning to identify a user's preferred language based on complex signals, delivering the most relevant ads. This alteration mandates increased linguistic coherence across all campaign components.

Large Behavior Model (LBM)

Large Behavior Models (LBMs), analogous to Large Language Models (LLMs), are AI models trained not on language data but on detailed sequences of user actions. They learn patterns from clickstreams, purchase histories, interactions, or churn events to predict and simulate future behavior of specific customer segments. LBMs act as digital twins for these segments.
